Pediatric Hospice Resources

Pediatric hospice care is a type of healthcare that supports a child’s physical comfort and emotional needs during the final months of their life. It is not meant to accompany treatment that could cure a child of their serious illness, and the treatments provided in hospice are not meant to extend a child’s life. Should the time come for a child to transition from active medical care to end-of-life or hospice care, this treatment can take place in a hospital, in a long-term care facility, or in the child’s own home.
